All Ireland Hall Of Fame Gallery
Incorporating Famous Sons & Daughters Of Ireland Gallery
Browsers to www.scoreboardmemories.com All Ireland Hall Of Fame may discover many famous names previously unknown and browsers may further discover that many of our Hall Of Fame subjects excelled many decades ago.
The All Ireland Hall Of Fame Gallery proudly promotes and preserves glorious and golden memories of former legends of many sports codes. Our current gallery contains a generous quantity of former hurling and football legends and it is intended to feature many more Irish born sporting icons in our Hall Of Fame gallery.
Only retired players are featured in our gallery collection and our criteria for incorporation of any ex-player, is the esteem in which these famous players are held in their native county and often throughout Ireland.
New subjects are regularly incorporated.

Historical Club (Cork)
Sport - Music - Irish Heritage
On Monday 18 th July 2011 a small group of lifelong gaels assembled at Blackrock, Cork to set up a new voluntary group of dedicated sports, music and Irish heritage enthusiasts. The objectives of the new group is as follows:
"You'll Never Walk Alone" is our slogan and for persons, all ages, interested in sport, music and Irish heritage subjects, our friendly weekly meetings are a great social outlet. We meet over a cup of tea and biscuits from 2.30pm to 5pm on Mondays and our venues rotate from time to time. We are currently searching for our own permanent home to rent for our members and in due course the possibility of a "Drop In" librarian office may be considered.
We aim to meet regurarly to discuss the finer points of sporting and music matters in a forum (speakers club) format and when possible to engage our group in fundraising projects for worthy Cork charities.
A local charity, "Friends Of St. Patrick's Hospital" was chosen as our main recipients of our fundraising ventures so far and The Friends liason with Marymount Hospice is recognised all over Cork city and county.
It is hoped that in the coming years, the Historical Club [Cork] will succeed in establishing a number of projects designated to Cork charities as fundraising projects.
Matters of publicity for The Historical Club (Cork) are linked into the ScoreBoard Memories website and no charges have been levied for that service.
The Club & Community Award for Cork City & County, instigated by The Historical Club in October 2011, avails of ScoreBoard Memories Hall Of Fame website to prosper greater awareness of the profiles of our award recipients. This award is presented quarterly and it is also a showcase event to promote up and coming local musical artists on the show. Each presentation is designed as a cabaret project and the presentation to the quarterly recipients is the highlight of each project.
The chairman of The Historical Club (Cork) is founder Derry JF Doody, who is also an executive member of Passage West, G.A.A. Club, Co. Cork for several years and he is also chairman of the Social & Development section of the G.A.A. club.
The Passage West & Districts Community Award project was set up by Derry in 2011 and is an important schedule in the annual calender since incepted.
At The Historical Club sport and music is full of glorious memories that have endured over many decades and will abide with fans for their entire lives. Sporting banter in a lively atmosphere will ensure that true sporting gaels will never walk alone and our new group embraces all the finer qualities of sports life.
Historical Group [Cork] can become a direct route to befriending many new sports and music friends and also present an opportunity for social engagement for many people who may live alone and would welcome an opportunity to meet and greet old and new friends once a week. New members are always welcome especially former athletes and persons with a broad musical interest.
Historical Club [Cork] has no affiliation with clubs or associations and the principle subject is debating as a speakers club a range of issues relevant to current and historic sporting and music matters.
Other historic matters of interest frequently arise in our weekly sessions.
To enrol in our group all you have to do is email us at
Come along to one of our meetings to check out if you would like to join our team and remember you could also play a key role as an assistant on one of our fundraising projects for Cork charities.
